Here's to really comfortable flip flops, sun bleached shorts, a pair of aviators , and not having a care in the world.
When exactly did we lose that blissful, youthful, and carefree spirit? When did the world start making too much sense? When did dreams begin to have an asterisk next to them that forced us to think about a paycheck?
It's not enough to simply blame our upbringing or surroundings. Think back to a time in your life where you felt like your heart was fully at ease and you simply couldn't help but smile. What prompted that? Maybe finding out that a crush liked you back or getting into the college of your dreams or simply doing something good for someone else. I'm willing to bet whatever it was, you simply stayed optimistic ,played your hand, and hoped for the best.
Here's to the lighthearted and brave. May the soothing and calm breezes of the upcoming summer refresh and relax you. Keep on keepin' on.
