It's not the storm before the calm. Good things take time. Time is fleeting, so good things are rare to come by. So when you have one, by god, remind yourself how lucky you are. But when there is so much good at once, how do you absorb it all and still find time to reflect. You want to make the moment last and take in as much as possible, but you're just waiting for the next trip, the next big thing, the new, shiny, and thrilling moment that will add another large piece of meaning to your life. Then, you develop FOMO, an acronym created by business students studying abroad. Shocking, I know. Fear of missing out, or FOMO, is a feeling of anxiety that arises from having too many opportunities. It's certainly a first world problem if I've ever heard of one, but it's something that actually induces ridiculous amounts of stress and anxiety on some of the students studying abroad here.
Live in the moment.
Izra, This blog is truly insightful. I've been experiencing a bit of FOMO lately.... Call me already
